- Top Woman Team at the 2010 NRA World Action Pistol Championship in Blacktown, Australia; Vera with teammate Julie Golob. Vera also captured the 2nd place in the Women’s Catagory at the World Championship as part of the USA National Shooting Team.

In the thirty two-year history of the NRA National Action Pistol Championships (Bianchi Cup), there have been only two other women who had each won three times the distinguishing title of Top Woman Champion. Vera on the other hand is the only woman in the history of Bianchi Cup to win eight times National Top Woman Champion Title. She is also the first woman to place in the overall top 20 at the 2001 NRA National Action Pistol Championship. Vera set a world record in 1997 for women’s highest score in the Practical Stage of the National Action Pistol Championship in Columbia, MO. Vera has also been recognized for setting a national record for women’s score on the outdoor action pistol crawford barricade, 480-45X, in San Antonio, TX. on October 8, 2005.
Vera energetically juggles handgun practice with the demands of real estate investment management, three grown children, four grandchildren and her husband of forty two years. In addition, Vera is an expert snow skier, windsurfer and equestrian.
