为何我对《比安奇盃》射击锦标赛情有独锺
Here is an excerpt from Vera’s blog, which explains why the Bianchi Cup Shooting Tournament is her personal favorite.
有人对我说，我凡事都不会浅嚐即止，我是那种试了一件事就会紧紧抓住不放的 人，直至我完全娴熟。我会受吸引去做相关活动，去从事需要很长的时间才能精 通的事情。我有那种毅力、那种工作伦理，会奋而不懈的投身其中，不管多久我 才能达成目标。
这说明了我为何会投入自己深爱不渝的「比安奇盃」，也就是每年五月在密苏里 州哥伦布市附近的绿谷步枪手枪俱乐部（the Green Valley Rifle & Pistol Club）举 行的「全国行动手枪锦标赛」。今年的「全国行动手枪锦标赛」将在五月二十四 至二十八日举行，而「世界行动手枪锦标赛」（World Action Pistol Championship） 则将于十一月在纽西兰举行；参加「比安奇盃」才能取得参加后者的资格。代表 美国队参加世界比赛是我的目标。
我参加「比安奇盃」比赛已经二十年，还有一些比我更资深的射击选手，他们从 「比安奇盃」一九七九年成立至今，年年比赛都不缺席。
